Bambi

Meet Bambi, soon to reside on our family room wall.

Greg was as excited as I have ever heard him when he called with the news!
He was on his annual deer hunting trip in TX. He has always had a great time with his hunting friends. This year the bonus was getting a deer of this caliber. I know it has 13 points and a spread over 22 inches. It is larger that the deer that won the award last year in region 7. He is hoping that we will attend an awards banquet in August and have then we will have this to hang next to the deer. It was so neat to see Greg so excited and I am happy to have is trophy displayed for all to see.

Dream Bathroom

We have completed a major remodel of our home. One of our goals was to have a great master bedroom. This included a great bathroom that has met our expectations.

In this post Christy blogger extraordinaire (aka craftyconservative) asked me to share our vision and results.

We have his and her vanities with granite counter tops and undermount sinks.

Mine includes a dressing table. I love being able to put on my make up sitting down. All of our fixtures are oil rubbed bronze. The bench is also great to use as we leave the shower.

The shower has several options. It is a large shower with a bench.

It includes a rain shower head, a messaging shower head, three body sprays, and a hand held shower head. A central thermostat control, as it is set any function that you choose the temp remains the same. We also had a steam unit installed. The shower ceiling was built with a slight slope so the steam would run down the wall verses dripping on your head. The shower door is heavy frameless glass.

We have a jacuzzi just out our French doors so we wanted something different in our bathroom. We chose an oval Jason AirMasseur. It is very relaxing. It is undermount with granite. The granite surface is wide enough to use as a bench.

Bradley and Ali enjoying the tub!

We also have a heated floor. This was tricky and installed under our tile.
There is a large Pella window over the tub that has built in blinds.

To accommodate we added a tankless water heater so we have an endless supply of hot water.

We are so fortunate to have such a great master bath. I realize even more how spoiled I am when I travel. I have not found a shower to compare. It is all about the water pressure. It is always great to get home. If you would like to know more you can send me an email.
We love it and love sharing it!
